Senior Citizen Thanks giving Project

Each year Metro Corvette Club is committed to giving back to seniors in need. For the past few years, we have donated our time and resources to supply the citizens of the MississippiDelta and its communities, during the Thanksgiving season. This project was created and spearheaded by our Ambassador, Mr. Kenneth Knight,Sr., who also serves as Alderman of Hollandale, MS. With the help of our local sponsors and elected officials of each area served, we’re able to successfully complete this project for 20-30 individuals and families. It is our goal to eventually fulfill the needs of every single senior citizen, in the county that we visit year to year.

Partnering with Jackson Public Schools

Each year we hold our annual Back-to-School Drive, Trunk or Treat and bike give away. Our Back-to-SchoolDrive consist of donating back packs and school supplies, to the entire student body at an elementary school of choice. This event is structured to allow us to meet and interact with both students and parents. During this process we provide refreshments and words of encouragement for the upcoming school year.

Two students per grade level are selected to participate in our bike giveaway at end of the first semester. The students with the most improvement from beginning to end of the semester, are the students that are chosen.

Partnering with the American Cancer Society

With just about everyone you talk to, you’ll find someone that has been affected by cancer, whether it’s the individual, a friend or close family member. Our Cars For A Cure Car Show was created to join the fight in finding a cure for cancer. Our car show attracts automobile enthusiasts and owners of all walks of life. To date, we’ve donated $10,000 from the proceeds of our car show. Our goal is to continue to put on this show and to grow our donations for many years to come.
